We do not collect financial data, social insurance numbers, or sensitive health data.

Purposes of Collection and Processing

Information collected is used for the following purposes:

— Contacting you regarding your funeral pre-planning

— Sending you educational resources about funeral arrangements in Quebec

— Improving our services, content, and user experience

— Following up on your requests and managing your file

We do not use your information for automated profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

04 — LEGAL BASIS

Legal Basis for Processing

Processing of your personal information is based on your explicit consent, given at the time of submitting a form on our platform. You have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before that withdrawal.

05 — RETENTION

Retention Period

Your personal information is retained for a maximum period of three (3) years following your last interaction with our platform. Upon expiry of this period, or upon request, your data is securely destroyed in accordance with industry best practices.

06 — THIRD-PARTY SHARING

Disclosure to Third Parties

We engage the following third-party service providers:

— Supabase: database hosting (Canada and United States)

— Resend: transactional email delivery (United States)

— HubSpot: customer relationship management — CRM (United States)

— PostHog: behavioral analytics (European Union)

We never sell your personal information to third parties. No sharing is carried out for third-party marketing purposes without your prior explicit consent.

Our platform uses the following types of cookies:

09 — CROSS-BORDER TRANSFERS

Transfers Outside Quebec

Some of our providers (Supabase, Resend, HubSpot) host data in the United States. These transfers are carried out in compliance with Law 25 requirements. Contractual measures consistent with recognized best practices (standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms) are in place to ensure an adequate level of protection for your information.

10 — PRIVACY INCIDENTS

Privacy Incident Management

In the event of a privacy incident involving your personal information that could cause serious harm, we commit to:

— Notifying the Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI) of Quebec as promptly as possible

— Informing you directly of the incident within 72 hours if a risk of serious harm is identified

— Recording the incident in our privacy incident log, as required by Law 25
